Template Licensing
Effective Date: January 28, 2026
Scope of Licensing
This licensing policy applies to all templates created and sold by The Soft Voice™, including templates available on thesoftvoice.com as well as on any third-party platforms where our products are officially offered.
Regardless of where a template is purchased, directly through our website or via an external marketplace, the same licensing terms, usage rules, and restrictions apply. Use of any The Soft Voice™ template constitutes acceptance of the licensing terms outlined on this page.
Understanding your license
Our templates are created with care, strategy, and a significant amount of original design work.
When you purchase a template from us, you are purchasing a license to use the design (personal or commercial), not ownership of the design itself.
This page is here to make licensing clear, fair, and transparent – for both you and us.
What your license includes
With the purchase of a template, you are granted a non-exclusive, single-use license.
You may:
Use the template for personal projects
Use the template for commercial projects
Use the template for client work
Fully customize the template, including layouts, structure, colors, fonts, text, and imagery
Transfer the completed website to a client as part of a finished service
One project equals one license.
Each website, brand, or client project requires its own individual license.
What is not permitted
To protect the integrity of our work and ensure fair use across all platforms, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
Reselling, redistributing, sublicensing, or sharing the template in any form
Providing template access, files, or keys to third parties, except for inviting members of your own project team (such as designers, developers, managers, or other collaborators) who are directly involved in building or maintaining your website. Team access must be limited to the sole purpose of setting up, customizing, or managing the licensed site and does not extend to reuse, redistribution, or independent use of the template.
Using a single license across multiple websites, brands, or projects
Copying the template, in full or in part, for the purpose of creating competing products
Selling, gifting, or offering the template as your own work, even if it has been modified
We actively monitor the use of our templates across platforms. Unauthorized use, redistribution, resale, or substantial copying can and will be identified.
When violations are discovered, we take appropriate measures to protect our intellectual property, including enforcement actions where necessary.
Common licensing scenarios
Q: Can I use a template for a client project?
A: Yes! Client work is permitted, provided that each client project has its own license.
Q: Can I customize the template extensively?
A: Absolutely. Full customization is encouraged. However, customization does not grant the right to resell, redistribute, or reuse the template across multiple projects.
Q: Can I use one template for multiple clients or brands?
A: No. Each client, brand, or website requires a separate license.
Q: Can I sell a website built using your template?
A: You may sell the final website to your client as part of your service. You may not sell, reuse, or distribute the template itself.
A note on fairness
Our licensing terms are designed to be clear, reasonable, and respectful, supporting both creative professionals and business owners while protecting original design work. If you’re unsure whether your intended use is covered by this license, we encourage you to reach out before proceeding.
